Schaller Anderson's Pathway to Asthma CareTM
We treat many different cases of asthma. Some people have it really bad and have a lot of
trouble breathing. Other people don't have as many problems. But everyone who has it should
get help from their doctor.
Once your doctor tells you that you have asthma, we will see whether you have a low-risk
or high-risk for problems. If you are low-risk we will give you information to help you
take care of yourself. If you are high-risk, a nurse will call you to talk about your illness.
The nurse will talk with you about:
- Taking care of your asthma at home
- Why taking your medicine is important
- What causes asthma attacks
- Why you need to do what your doctor tells you
- Ways to change your habits so you feel better
It is very important that you know as much as you can about asthma. We want to help you
take care of yourself.
